Honda Issues Massive Recall Over Steering Gearbox Worm Wheel Issue
Japanese automaker Honda has announced they are recalling nearly 2 million vehicles.
1.7 of those vehicles are on the roads of the United States.
The issue is a problem with the steering, that can cause you to crash.
The cars affected by this recall were from model years 2022 to 2025.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue that is causing the problems is something called a steering gearbox worm wheel.
The NHTSA states the gearbox is faulty, and causes excessive internal friction in the automobiles.
That causes a sticky feeling when turning the steering wheel.
To date, it is believed the problem has been responsible for at least 13 crashes.
